Notre groupe s’intéresse aux mécanismes moléculaires qui permettent à l’EBV d’induire l’immortalisation des cellules B, et qui régulent le passage entre latence virale et cycle viral productif. Nous étudions plus particulièrement au niveau génétique, moléculaire et cellulaire la fonction de certaines protéines cellulaires ou virales qui contribuent à ces processus (EBNA2, EBNA3s, EB1, R, EB2, …). Par ailleurs, nous cherchons à caractériser un complexe d’initiation de la transcription viral nécessaire à l’expression des gènes viraux tardifs. Ce complexe peut représenter une cible thérapeutique intéressante contre les beta et gamma herpesvirus.
